Hi all,

I've got the common issue of water getting into the car and collecting in the front footwells but I'm struggling to identify where the water is coming in. This has been happing for a while and I assumed it was the windscreen leaking but I'm having my doubts.

On the passenger side it seems to be coming in from above near the air vent and the dash top rail, you can see 2 trace marks on the pic below showing the leaks

On the drivers side this seems to be coming from right at the top of the bulkhead behind the speedo/windscreen vent, again you can see a mark on the bulkhead where the water seems to be coming in.

For reference the car had a new scuttle and front end about 3 years ago, door and windscreen seals were also changed. As far as I can tell the windscreen panel is still in good condition and not rusted through... These are not huge leaks but in heavy rain a small puddle forms in each footwell and I'm not so keen to be having new floors put in again!! The car is a 1989 Mayfair.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers!

It often comes in via the door check straps. Have you got the seal fitted around the check strap in the door apature?

I would suspect the screen or possibly the roof to A panel join.It looks as though it is getting between the seam somewhere.Good hunting.Steve..

Cheers guys,

The door check strap seals are present and seem to be keeping the water out, I'll have another look with the hose this weekend.
