Hello All, back again with more gearbox questions....

I am trying to remove the interlock spool on my A+ rod change box. I have noticed there is some sort of dowl that looks to be holding it in place and stopping it from rotating around or being pulled out, do you know what this is, how to remove it, is it a permanent feature etc, I am unsure as with all the videos I have watched I have not seen it featured or mentioned, any info much appreciated. (images attached)

Thanks :)

The dowel should slide out then you can get the interlock spool out. Not sure how you get it out if its stuck though, mine pretty much fell out when I tipped the case over.

Ah, this one doesn't seem to be sliding out! I guess I will have to see what I can do to get it free. Glad to know it does at least come out though Thank you :)

try hooking the rubber o-ring out of the way - you may find that's holding the collar in place

As there's not much to grab on to You can usually get them with long nose pliers, or small External Circlip Pliers, or as you have the Shifter Shaft removed, a Hook.
