What would people recommend wrapping a loom with. Interior parts I’ve gone with tesa 51608. Really like it, adheres well and looks class so wondering if it would be ok used elsewhere on the rest of the loom like the engine bay. I can’t see why not as temp resistance is high enough just wondering if anyone else has used it there as it’s fleece. Tesa 51026 is shocking and has come unstuck while the looms sat int conservatory. Cheers

I've used this when I made a wiring harness for an additional interior light on a Triumph TR7 it was fairly easy to do and looks OEM.

Ive used X Autohaux cloth tape for last 3 cars. Fantastic stuff and found it it better that Tesa brand. Got it from Amazon for a good price.

Used it on exterior and interior parts of loom and really gives smart look to the engine bay

I would actually suggest a PVC Non-adhesive tape, similar to that Mike has posted above.

I've always found in time, any adhesive tape after a while starts to slide on it's own adhesive and leaves a very sticky residue, before long they get messy and are dread to the touch.

Most factory looms of any car that are wrapped are done in a non-adhesive tape. It can give a great finish if you take a bit of time to apply it without wrinkles. To finish off an end, you can tie a neat flat knot in the material, or just melt the top layer to the under by rubbing a soldering iron over it.

...or finish off with a bit heat shrink to hold it in place

Non-adhesive vinyl for me. Secured at the start with a wind of adhesive tape and either heat shrink or adhesive tape at the end.

I use the PVC tape as Spider suggests and finish it with self amalgamating tape like this https://www.autoelec...349/category/68

Now that's a neat idea.
