Hi Guys,

I am an Aussie guy who just bought a 1275 cooper spi  motor in York hoping to get Minispares to recondition it for me and then send it home to Australia but apparently they do not rebuild motors any more.

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the York district that specializes in mini engines?

Also maybe a good freighter to send to Australia?

Thanks Brad May

He's not really in the York area, but not far away and is back and forth to MS York regularly, but Jim Bridle @ RACE Motorsport Engineering builds a good engine, there's a few knocking about on here.

What about Keith Calver (Calver Special Tuning), he's 1/2h down the road from York?

That would be awesome if I could get Keith Calver, he is like a rock star to me. I have all these magazines from 2006 onwards where he had regular columns which I use to turn to first thing in the mag.
Maybe the stars are aligning for me. He would have a long wait list though wouldn't he?

He was working with Damico Engines at Roundham, Norfolk (Near Thetford) but has since moved (back?) to Malton, Yorkshire.

I would drop him an email and see what he says time wise? He's a decent bloke and will respond fairly quickly.

I'd recommend Jim at race too, did a great job of my engine
