Need to take glass out of my old Clubman estate for painting.

Rubbers are good and can be reused but wary of trying to remove without breaking the glass.

Is there an easy way or is it best to slit the rubber and replace with new

You want to replace it if you've got the glass out.

It can be an arse.  For the price of them and so you don't have to do it again soon you'd be as well cutting and replacing: https://phoenixtrim....-2951-325-p.asp

A Stanley knife - all the way around to cut at the rubber

You don't want to be cracking a window trying to get the glass out, which is what could likely happen
