what a shame three cars which it seems were in quite good condition were left outside.

Been outside for a long time. Don’t think it is all new damage.

"A Northampton family whose four 'sentimental' classic cars were destroyed by 'mindless' yobs are offering a £1,000 reward to anyone who can help find the culprits.

The thugs caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the family's 'rare' car collection which includes a Mini Sky, Mini Rose, Mini Cooper and a Metro Rio, which were all parked at the back of their house in Honeysuckle Way, Abington Vale."

also seems targeted rather than casual stupidity - I wonder what the background story is?

A$$holes as all seemed in ok condition beforehand, although hardly "cherished"  the filth covering them  will probably make spray removal far easier- the pair in the vid are certainly not "destroyed" though .....sorry for the owners though, bet it was kids - would spend the grand on getting them under cover.....

That is close to where I lived in Northampton. Vandalism is daily business in England, isn't it?

Some thugs stole my Vespa Primavera in factory paint from my front garden, 2m below from where I slept - i.e. right under my nose.

They then totally vandalised it in their mindless attempt to cut out the steering lock and then finished it off when riding it to death w/o twostroke oil in the nearby park.

It was luckily found 1 day later by a neighbour walking his dog, befor the f*ckers got a chance to torch it.

I rebuilt it, had to 're-shell' so it is now a ringer ;) Anyways, feeling sorry for the Northants, but to be honest they shoould have known....

I left my Citroen CX Break at the university car park - heavily fenced - whilst I was on holiday in Austria. When I got back I found a police notice to clarify why I had left a burnt out car in the car park.... :xxx:

In contrast to the D.Mail report "The four classic cars had all been lovingly restored and parked in a secure garage," the Minis do look like they have been left standing outside in a field for sometime....and the 'immaculate' Mini photos look like some years ago....

mab01uk, I hope you're not suggesting that the 'Daily Mail' might print something that wasn't entirely true?

Heaven forfend!

   although for sake of balance it must be remembered that other sections of the media including the Guardian and the BBC bias the truth in news reports to suit their agenda.....
