You cant have these pockets and still use the modern seats, correct? Dont the handles for seat adjustment and flip forward hit them?

Maybe a strange question, but do the holes, line up with the standard later style plastic door bins?

I mean the stock modern mini seats. MK4 and forward.

The levers that control the tilt forward and the back adjust will hit these bins.

I'll find out in a few weeks when I fit Mk4 seats to my Elf project.  The same seats don't hit the bins in my spi, and as far as I'm aware my elf bins are no wider than the Mini ones.  Will feedback.

Edit: I have however removed the tip forward mechanism as the Elf has no loops to retain them to latch onto in the floor. The seat back adjuster is still there though.

You can buy those bars... I know because Italian minis didn't have them either and I needed to buy them

Even MPi seats are way skinnier than the ones i’ve fitted with success with these bins, (my buckets are wideee) after all
you don’t pull any lever forwards to tilt the seat upwards with the door shut.

I do have a set for sale, but to be honest probably going to end up keeping them.

What materials were the originals constructed from?

I'm not a fan of interior trim constructed using fibre glass. In the event of an accident,God forbid in a classic mini, I'd quite like whatever my body parts came into contact with would yield on impact.

They're plastic, but be aware, if they've been exposed to the elements, they turn into crumbly plastic biscuits.

Of you don't have the floor bar installed. Then yes, you don't need to pull a lever to tilt them forward.

But the little pull bar is still there.
