Has anyone received a ticket refund for the now cancelled imm?

They officially cancelled it 4 weeks ago and said communication via email would inform people of their options.

I haven't received anything from them so emailed them directly this week.

In their reply they say the cut off for a refund has now gone and the only option is a ticket for 2022.

It's not a significant amount and I'll probably go next year covid willing but I'd like it to be my choice.

Have they dragged their feet in order to make sure the t&c's work in their favour? Or is it just a unfortunate glitch somewhere?

Not much help....

From the IMM website FAQ:-

"As specified on your voucher, no refund will be due for IMM2021 alternative dates in 2021.
In that case that the event will be postponed to July 2021, people needing a refund will have two weeks from the announcement date to communicate their decision to get their money back.
In that case that due to covid pandemy, the organizers will have to postpone the event to 2023, your voucher will be valid for the IMM2023."

I'll give them benefit of the doubt then.

Although it does seem suspect. That at the announcement of the cancellation they tell people to wait for a communication from them knowing that after 2 weeks a refund can be refused.

I'll apply for a charge back on my credit card.

If you paid on a credit card, easy to reclaim, as they didn't provide the service they promised, you can get you money back that way.
