Is there somewhere which sells the seal that goes between the radiator and the body on a rover mini. I am not even sure what it is exactly meant to look like.

I should probably be clearer, it is an 86 meaning it has no shroud on the body.

Don't think there was one on the later cars. Mines a '90 and there was never one on there.

If you have one fitted then it may have been a.modification by an earlier owner perhaps.

Ahhh it might have been a local production thing.

Maybe it was a Japanese thing, it does also have an electric fan inside the mudguard. I had thought that I previously found stuff on here about it but maybe I was getting mixed up with the earlier one as above.

Yes, JDM cars do have a foam-based “shroud” lining up the radiator to body. My 1990 JDM Mayfair II and Checkers SE had them but sadly has now been lost because the foam disintegrated with heat and age.

I’ve never been able to source OEM ones, so I just made one up by using sheet rubber.

My RSP Cooper has a seal around the rad shroud that's supposed to line up with the lip on the body. It's more like fibre board than foam or rubber and is fairly distorted now but was designed to make sure all the hot air from the rad went out the inner wing grill.
