Looks right to be but most likely been restored at some time to the owners specs.

Looks nice but the seats have indeed been changed to whatever the owner wanted. I like the Leyland Trophy wheels, very unusual and desirable. Definitely an Innocenti made body (you can tell from the bonnet hinges). It's a 1001 Export which was the posh level of trim for 998s, I think it may have had the 295 Cooper head, but I'm not 100% sure.
It looks like it's had the brake system changed to a yellow band (metric) master cylinder and also had a PDWA switch fitted, changed from the original single line system.

Most of it does look Innocenti sourced but not the padded top dash rail or the dash frontage.

For some reason, it is a wannabe MPI inside:
I am going to see it in person this week... but I dont have high hopes.

It has been upgraded as per a previous owners wishes.
we often upgraded as new kit came out.
drip rails removed. Rear lights cut out to fit the new bigger ones.
Center clocks swapped for three in front of you or put into a custom or self made dash.
don’t forget for many these were everyday cars.

Oh, I am happy about that... I think I wouldve changed the seats myself too. But the seller is insisting these are inno export seats and that the dash is a stock, from factory, inno dash.
He claims to have owned the car from the factory, but also claims a lot of other stuff too that doesnt make sense.
The price is good for a 1973 Innocenti Cooper Export... if that is what it really is.

Do you know the telltale signs of an Inno shell?
- The bonnet hinges are hard to fake, and way more trouble than its worth. Innos always retained inboard bonnet hinges and a Mk1 bulkhead.
- 1300 Export shells had the companion bins sloping up to the back (lower at the front)
- No rotodip hole in the backrest
Some other features to look for are the larger fuel tank (but often and easily changed) which should have the paint codes on metallized stickers; if you're very lucky the subframes are still stamped Firsat rather than MOWOG, rear quarter lights open and are always piano-hinged.
