It's not really aimed at the died in the wool Mini Enthusiast, but those with deep pockets (and there's many of them around the world) who no doubt had a Mini in the family somewhere when growing up and seeing the Mini Coopers on the race track doing what they did best - slaying the giants. As far as styling goes, it's like any of our customised Minis - it's been done to one or two person's taste. That they are not one off's and marketed so well will likely see them retain their value and even increase in time.
One big up-side of runs of cars like these is it does really help our spares and modified parts situation. I think DBA's first run was 200 Minis (?) and this run of a further 60 surely goes a long way to giving our parts suppliers confidence in the market to allow them to invest in have more parts reproduced. If they know they'll sell 200 of one item in a short, relatively guaranteed time frame, payback on investment over time seems worthwhile. I admit I often look at certain parts and having them re-manufactured and while I can see that the items would sell, the time frame for that to occur puts me off.
I can very easily see how these end up at the price they are, there's loads and loads of man-hours (can we still say that ?) in each one.

The effort that has gone into creating the bodies and the high standard of finish is very pleasing to see.
The standard of finish and materials in the interior is excellent.
I would like to see the heating and air conditioning setup in these cars and wondered who produced it.
I would also like to examine the rubber seals etc and find out who the manufacturer is. Surely they won't have used the stuff that rots after a very short time that we buy.
I did wonder if the service intervals would be a problem with them being a lot shorter than modern cars especially in the automatics.
Perhaps in the price of car there was an included service plan where all that is taken care of.
