Hello all,

I did a compression test on my 1275 carb British Open Classic yesterday.

Car is from 1992 and has 120 000 miles.

I don't know if block/head were already rebuild.

Here are the results (warm engine, full throttle):

As pressures increased when I added oil, I guess rings or bore are a bit worn out? Probably normal for the mileage?

You're always going to get a little bit more pressure from putting oil in the cylinder. There's not a cylinder 10% less than the highest, so i'd say it's ok. you've got 166psi on your lowest cylinder and that's still good!!

Usually first signs are oil burning and sooty exhaust..

Regular maintennce and TLC should keep it going..

Enjoy..
