Hi all,

Due to going forced induction on my mpi engine and wanting to put an intercooler in the front I am side mounting the radiator.

My engine has a side mount turbo so I need an engine steady to the thermostat housing from DSN.

Does anyone know if this is possible as the engine steady I bought clashes with the alternator bracket? https://www.dsnclass...-big-bore-long/

Can I buy one of these and hope the spacer clears the bracket? https://www.dsnclass...retrosport-mpi/

Or shall I just grind a chunk out of the bracket?

I know the Jap spec minis have a similar set up...

Many thanks!

As the thermostat housing is shifted/rotated on the JDM Minis, I am pretty sure the DSn version wont work.

We made a custom thermostat sandwich and top radiator bracket to fit this.

You could use a water pump to bulkhead steady plus extra steady bars underneath, gearbox to rear of subframe.

. Have also seen extra forward steady bar fitted from front of subframe to speedo housing area.

I wasn't aware of the water pump engine steady, thanks for that!

Not too good as they put a lot of load onto the end of the bolts. This can cause the pump to move. Later ones did not have the locating dowls.

That is a shame, any other options you can think of Nick?
