    Starting My Mini Up

Hello Folks,

I own a 1997 Rover Mini Cooper 1.3 MPI. The car is incredibly original and comes with the factory fitted Mini cassette+radio player and a set of speakers on the rear parcel shelf.

While I wanted to use my phone (handsfree calling and music) in the car, I did not want to touch the stock ICE system that the car came with. I have therefore fitted a Bluetooth-FM Transmitter that is now connected to the radio in the car and this works perfectly.

The only trouble is, the speakers at the rear are 25 years old and struggle with ANY amount of bass in songs from the current era!

Is there a way to only upgrade the speakers without having to install an additional amp? My worry is that the output of the cassette/radio player might be too low to support anything with higher output than the existing factory-fitted speakers.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Praveen
