'67 MKII, magic wand shifter, with a Tan colour seats (Biscuit maybe?) and white headliner. So I need either a tan/beige, or cream coloured carpet for a rounded transmission tunnel but no shifter cutout. I would go for the cheaper Minispares banded edge kit but they only come in red, black or dark grey, which looks almost black in the picture.

Any idea where I can get something similar in different colours?

I know about the Newton carpets but I really can't afford it, plus the other issue is that I took a later floor and modified it to a round tunnel, but I did not add the push button starter bulge. So I would hate to buy a expensive carpet only to have a loose bulge there.

It seems my only option is to get some carpet off the roll and try to make it fit as best as possible unfortunately it won't have any edge banding or heel patch.

Bas International do early round tunnel Mini carpets, they are highly recommended on the Mk1 Forum and they do tan/biscuit colours but they are high quality and not cheap price...

I’ve gone with coverdales for my Riley carpet. Havent had the carpet set yet, but the samples were good, proper carpet unlike NC which didn’t impress. Coverdales were recommended by a trusted source, and have various grades of carpet.

Samples can be ordered here

They will sell you the carpet for you to cut to fit. You can then return it to them for edge banding.

I've just had some bespoke carpets made by Trimworks.

Call Dean.

Great service and quality job.

I made up some templates of what I wanted using wallpaper lining paper.

Put all the info on. Where to edge band, direction etc etc.

They came back bang on....

Can highly recommend

I should have mentioned I am in Canada, so while I don't mind paying shipping from the UK one way, I really don't want to send anything back.

It can be frustrating working on this Mini here in North America. I searched replacement carpets on Summit Racing in the US and I think it came back with about 2700 different products, none of them for a Mini. The same is true for almost every other part of the vehicle.

I have no doubt that there are people local who can make a quality carpet however I am trying to build this car on a budget. My normal work is in the live event industry so essentially I haven't worked in a year and a half. I decided I needed to get something out of this pandemic and that is finish my Mini.
