I can't wait for the 1st court case when somebody gets caught in that stupid jack shaft running a cross the front of the engine, why they didn't mount it at the rear like any sane person would is beyond me. Buy an AMR 500 supercharger off fleebay for around £150.00 and a bit of diy and bosh!! Jobs a good un

To be fair lots of engines have fans at the front and a sticker makes it safe.Steve..

You’re kidding, right? Sticking your fingers into running machinery is not a route to a successful court case otherwise every motorbike manufacturer would have been dragged through the courts every time an idiot lost a finger lubing their chain with the engine running.

In fairness a later weathshield would cover the shaft to stop anyone touching it when in motion, although it's likely that loose clothing would be the big danger.  It's certainly an interesting looking set up, I'm a big believer in good engineering being a work of art, but this is not pretty at all. Ultimately it's the figures and the way it drives that count, and the former certainly seem impressive.

Fit a plastic cover over the entire bay emblazoned with(SUPERCHARGED)and it will look like a modern bay.Seriously it is an engine, why would you want to look at it?If it works unobtrusively and reliably it would be good enough for me.Steve..

Not joking at all, we live in a litigious world, lift the bonnet on any late model car and its covers everywhere for a reason, why try to re-invert the wheel, rear mounted blowers work, they look neat, this thing is different to be different, it smacks of a non engineering brain, the old saying of KISS works for a reason, I can see non alignment and vibration problems with the shaft, but hey a couple of hours on a dyno so it must be OK to sell to the GP, as you can probably tell I'm not a massive fan of the company, I've bought 2 parts from them both wouldn't fit without modification, but your money your choice.

This isn’t a new design though (shaft across the engine)? It’s been used on Hondas (and I assume others) for years. I don’t know much about Specialist Components, the only thing I own from them is some rocker cover bolts but the product isn’t ground breaking, just new to the A series.

What are peoples thoughts on this kit compared to the Podifold and Vmaxscart kits, not so much the overall power more the design and potential reliability?

Its too new.
Stuart has been doing it the longest so has the most experience.
In the trade I would choose experience over youthful enthusiasm all day

Even the best kit badly fitted and tuned can have problems. If it were cheap I would probably be tempted to buy it and work out(fettle?) any solutions needed.Steve..
