The wife mentioned it’s too dark to drive the mini at night, due to no interior lighting other than gauges.

Has anyone done anything, connected to headlight switch, to add lights to foot wells, or other areas of the car?

I had planned to add an LED strip to work as a welcome light, but certainly not while driving. The inside can't be dark enough for me, as your eyes should be on the road, not inside the car. What is she unable to do properly due to a lack of light?

What might be helpful for your wife is maybe illuminating the switches in dashboard.

Something like this: https://www.minispar...c/MSSK2007.aspx (Currently out of stock, but should be (hopefully) available from other dealers as well???)

Helps in finding the switches more easy and brightens up the interior a bit :-)
