HI I am restoring a 99 mpi sportspack and i am trying to do this to concours level so i am sure there is somebody out there with a post 96 mini sportspack with original bonnet stripes.  My question is one of accurate positioning of the stripes

Leading edge of the stripe sits under the front trim so no issues there.  Can someone measure and advise what is the gap between the outside edge of the bonnet to the outside edge of the stripe.  Also what is the gap between back edge of the bonnet to the back of the white strip

Strange as it may seem apply wet with a spray bottle and use a squeegee to displace the water. No bubbles this way!

I didn't trust myself to do it, sadly. Plus it has to be perfect, so was easier to buy someone a bottle of wine to do the job correctly
