Evening everyone, 

 

New to the forum and to Mini restoration. We're based in Adlington up in Lancashire.

 

The girlfriend and I have recently bought a 1986 Mini Mayfair which needs a full restoration and we are on with it. Being fairly novice restorers we're hoping we can use the forum to get some advice and info to help us along the way! Also some inspiration most likely!!!

If you want tips on a restoration have a look at project paddy in the saloons section in projects, or anything by Ben O, they are a good source of advice and lots of photos.

Nice to hear of local people, I'm only 2 mins down the road based in Blackrod. I was in your position 5 or 6 yrs ago but getting towards the end of my resto now (not saying yours will take as long haha!)

More than happy to help out when I can. Good to hear of another local mini owner. I know of at least 6 minis in and around Blackrod at various states of repair lol.
