evening all,

I have a rather niggle of a problem, I have a switch panel that operates the fan, usb, and ciggie lighter, before it was working fine, but now nothing.

the wires connect go from the switches/sockets to a relay and intern with a inline 10amp fuse to the power switch.

I've checked all fuses (fine) and all wires appear in-tacked. I've turned the car on, and switched the fan switch whilst holding onto the relay, I don't feel any click but there is a warm feeling coming from the relay.

would this suggest the relay is deaded?

im crap with car electrics so im just doing the checks I know I can do

thanks

Sounds likely, relays draw very little current when they're working properly, but if the contacts have burnt you could get a lot of heat or even arcing.

You could pull the relay from its socket and insert a jumper wire in its place between terminals 30 & 87 - Google should find you some pictures of which  terminals are which if there isn't any numbers or a diagram on your relay

30   _  _  l    87  (of the 4 terminals 87 is at a right angle to the others)

         86
