As per title, has anyone done it themselves? Seen a video by AC dodd on YouTube on how he machines heads for unleaded inserts himself.
But no info on the actual seat cutting.
Not gonna fit hardened seats myself, only increase valve size. Will keep running lead additive.

Got a Pilar drill and tempted to get either a carbide set or a set with what I call a boring bar (see picture, I probably translate it wrong) .
Also a tad tempted to just buy a set of newmann cutters. Need to do 16 valves to start.

I used a similar set, pressed the valve guides in and out and reamed all at home, give it a go mate it’s surprising what you can do at home :)

I have a more basic set like no 1 , only 3 sizes cutters and 2 pilots . I use it to recondition valve seats before lapping. You would be a long time trying to enlarge the seat with these. I think its a Sykes Pickavant kit with all the sizes you need for the MIni.

Those are all +-100 euro which -if they work- would enable me to do a 3 angle cut.
If I'd get a firm to do it it's 5 euro / cut so 240 euro
