Hi all, common problem no doubt. Theres a significant difference between the flange of a LCB outlet manifold and a MPI inlet manifold flange. Stepped washers is the way to go, does anyone know of anyone that sells them or can make them?

Thanks in advance

They are quite simple to make you just need a half decent file.

Depends on how much of a step is needed.

I just weld a bead on one half, then grind it down to the right size.....pretty easily done.

Many moons ago I would cut a couple of washers in half and stick them on the back.

It did the job and was never a problem as once clamped up they couldn`t go anywhere.

If it's the carb side that's slack then cut an extra piece of gasket to fit on the inlet side of the manifold. I've done this on the Mini and the Morris and it's been absolutely fine.

Just what I did last Wednesday when I fitted a new Maniflow LCB with a standard alloy inlet manifold.

If the inlet manifold is thicker than the ex. manifold flanges, just file the inlet manifold flanges back until they are the same as the ex.
