While making my way across the rush hour city traffic, ended up along side a pair of supercars, a Lamborgini and a McLaren. They were in so sort of demo ride as they had a chase Land Rover with ensignia all over it.

At one stop light, a bunch young lads, teenagers, were enamoured with my Mini and gave the lambo & McL a thumbs down.

Guess there's hope for the next gen after all ;-)

A while back I popped into our local Lamborghini dealer and asked for some photos for my grandson, he was so impressed with the Mini that he arranged the cars around it.

There is something to be said for the cuteness factor over the macho image of these and even the lesser performance cars. I like to think we make those dudes jealous of us as their ladies wave, smile, give us the thumbs up.

That’s so true, I have been out most days this week in the Mini ( Eastbourne, Hastings, Maidstone, Sevenoaks and many other places), and it’s mostly women that admire the car and give comment.
The car always brings a smile to my face when I drive it and it’s nice to receive compliments from strangers, even if it is the classic I had one of those.

I feel like Minis have a much broader appeal than many performance cars / supercars. Being a Mini fan I'm no doubt very biased, but a classic Mini driving along with straight cuts and a nice exhaust is way more likely to turn my head than an 8+ cylinder monster!
