Hi All,
AS I understand it, on MK1 and 2 cars, the wipers point to the Nearside (UK) and Mk 3 the other direction.
Are the wiper motors different in some way that effects whether you can just put different wiper blades on?

is it the wiper rack that determines which set of holes in the scuttle that the spindles use, and so which direction the blades lie when parked ?

The MKI (and MKII ?) Motor is completely different to the later cars as well. I maybe able to look up a change point if you need it.

I was searching a bit and Mk1 & 2 Minis (either British, Spanish o Italian made) park their blades on their steering wheel side always, and from Mk3 onwards it is the contrary. There seem to be exceptions when a car was imported from the UK to some countries.

Although as shooter points out, the MKI cars could park anywhere you'd like to stop the blade, I'm pretty sure they had off-set arms to the left or right depending on which market the car was intended for.
