I have a 1994 SPI... It starts great, but when as warms up, the idle speed drops. After 3 or 4 miles the idle down to a couple of hundred rpm. If I stop the engine and restart it, it idles at 850 rpm again, but gets slower again as it gets warmer. Stopping and restarting resets the idle speed. Then when it is warm, the idle speed can increase dramatically, up to 3-4000 rpm!

Any ideas where to start?

Thanks

Check/replace the vacuum pipes per the following thread. Ensure that the pipes and the fuel trap are not clogged up:

Thanks! The pipes are new, but one of the elbows came off one of the lines. I wonder if I blocked it off when I shoved it back on? Maybe it closed off the pipe end!
