I'm after a set of cheap 12” wheels with tyres, not worried about condition or tread depth, they just have to hold air and roll for winter storage.

If you’re anywhere near Norfolk I’ve got a set you can have for a tenner a wheel.

I’ve found 2 and a pair of tyres (too old to use on the road but should hold air ok). So I just need either another two wheels with tyres or a pair of bare rims (steelies preferably) to have a pair of tyres I have fitted to.

I pump mine up to 50 psi and they are fine with no flat spots.

There`s not a lot of weight on the back so you could always just pump the rears up.

I tried that last year. I pumped the tyres up to 40psi for winter storage and second lock down (about 6 months), But come around April the first few drives were like driving over a cattle grid at anything above 50mph. And yes I did check the tyres during storage and let them back down to 30psi before the first drive.

I usually purchase wheels and tyres from 4wheelonline but this shop is based in US. Perhaps you can check out Facebook's buy and sell page, I'm sure you'll find affordable packages on this social media platform.

Silly me for not thinking of using ‘antisocial’ media.

EBay - there is a set locally, but the wheels are so corroded (alloys) the paint is flaking off them and need a full refurb if they were to ever stand a chance of holding air, and all 4 need new tyres. Once you add the cost of buying them (£100) plus the refurb (£200 at least) and 4 new tyres (another 200 plus vat) it isn’t worth it.

Facebook – Another set locally, reasonably priced, but are fitted with 155/80 r12 tyres witch will not fit under the wheel arches of a standard mini (so back to needing 4 new tyres just to park the car on and sit)

Another set, the ‘seller’ chose to sell them to someone else while still arranging for me to collect, and I didn’t find out until I’d travelled to collect the now sold wheels.

Everything else seems to be at least 80 miles plus.
