Please could someone advise how to wire up a 4 pin relay for an electric radiator fan fitted to the inner wing of my Mini ?

I’ve currently got it wired as per below with a switch inside the car however it’s not working and looking online many different diagrams say different things.

-30 is currently my 12v fused supplied from battery positive.
-87 wired as power output to fan unit
-86 from switch inside car
-85 ground to body

I’ve got a wire going from my fuse box ( switch live to the switch inside my car) then going to 86 on relay.

That is basically how I wired the fan to a switch in the car, although mine still also has the thermal switch in the thermostat housing.

It’s just a case of checking everything:

As a Steve says, does the relay click when you operate the switch?

Does the fan work if you put 12 volts direct to it?

Is there continuity across the switch if you put a multimeter across it?

Are the fuses still OK and have they made good connections with the terminals?

If all of the above are OK, there is no reason why it shouldn’t work......
