Oil Gauge Fibrous Washer

I've dropped the fibrous washer that goes into the back of the oil gauge. Buggered if I can find it. Can I use a suitably sized O ring?

You can get them from Minimine on eBay for <£2, I’d just buy some spares.

Possibly but be careful it is oil safe and it could come loose.Cut another from an old fibrous carb gasket?Steve..
