Hi everyone,

 

I have just started my Mini adventure with a (shell) Mini Mayfair 1992.

 

I've stripped it back to body and subframe (although there wasn't much to strip) and about to get her baked, blasted and primed.

 

I also have a 33k (ish) 1275 to put in it.

 

Looking forward to discussing the build and maybe eventually helping folks on this forum.

Good luck, is that a MG Metro engine?

I believe it came out of a Mini, although it could have been in a Metro prior to that?!? The rocker cover is that type isn't it?

 

I got it for a song, off a guy who does up Mini's locally.

 

He just told me he could get me a cheap, 1275 A series, that had low miles and came from a Mini he knew the history to.
