Its a tight fit but it works. Also elected to use a 90 degree adapter for the speedo cable.


I had to go to a 90 degree adapter as well after my cable snapped about 50 miles later. I don't think you would need one if you have the speedo behind the steering wheel though, if I remember correctly it goes through the bulkhead in a different location. The filter is definitely a tight fit though.

I’ve never used a 90’deg adaptor so don’t know why i’ve been quoted, but for my centre speedo I just made a new plate and moved the speedo cable hole to a nicer, smoother layout, been fine for years.

Midas, I must have messed up when I made the quote as there was a quote in a quote. Seems that post was edited as well. Either way my apologies for the misquote. I would be interested in seeing what you did with the plate, I know on my car I have no plate and I couldn't really see any good options for the cable. I suppose it depends on your dash setup as well. My speedo sits pretty close to the center hole.
