HI.

Brit living in sunny/snowy Estonia!

Owned quite a few Minis in the 70,s and 80,s worked for a few years at Ripspeed, which made parts sourcing cheap and easy!  

 

Decided to get into Minis again, acquired a pair from Finland (where a lot of old UK cars now reside!)

Hopefully the pics will show ok.

One is a 1965, pretty much complete but is a mess bodywork wise, as most are!

It has the early style door handles.

Its never been restored, and I think the mileage is genuine, 30,000.

 

The other is a 1966, never restored but stripped already, I think I have 90% of the parts.

Looks like the engine is ok, Ill strip it anyway. Similar mileage.

 

Plan is to restore the 66 one to factory condition, no restomods/upgrades and hopefully that includes keeping the Hydrolastic!

Hi Mark, and welcome

 

i use imgur for photo hosting which wraps the URL's so they look like the following.  

 

[img] https://i.imgur.com/SK6TbML.jpg [/img]

 

 

note that to show the format of the link (..and not just the picture!)  i've inserted spaces either end of the URL - remove the spaces and it should show the image

I did a quick test before, it did seem to show if I pasted the URL.

I do use Imgur but its a pain to upload pics from Google Photos to their site first.

But Ill get some uploaded and edit the post.

I was thinking maybe adding the "img" and "/img" tags around the google photo URL's would make the forum page display the image

Dont think its going to work, cant make the added prefix and suffix part of the main URL

cars look nice! my mate has done a head for a mini about a year ago [he mainly does lada stuff i think, from the lada club esti] , he lives in Tallin Olaaf is his name! 

 

interesting to see teh cars over there!
