How do you recognise genuine mini light wheels.  I have seen a set but not sure if good.  They have stamped mini light around the centre and more stamping on either side of valve.

Any help appreciated.  Thank you

If it reads "Mini Light", they're fake.

The originals are 'Minilite'.

Original mini lite wheels date from 1962. Now this is just a guess but I suspect the 25 year design patent protection would have just about expired around the same time these wheels started appearing as OEM wheels

6"X10" Genuine Minilites with 100mm backspace, these have MINILITE-ENGLAND embossed in the rim- introduced by the new Minilite company these are good quality wheels but do not look exactly like the originals from late 60s early 70s made by Tech Del:-

(The Minispares 'Minilife' is a truer copy of the originals. The Minilife wheel copies the original shape in 4.5x10 but only in alloy).
