Hi there chaps, I’m new to the site and kick off with an issue straight away.
Just bought a 93 mini and noticed that the door lock mech was loose - but having shut the door it now won’t open as the spring striker won’t release the latch!

I’ve removed the door card and can get to the striker plate but it doesn’t disengage, hence the door won’t open. Is there a work a round here to get the lock released and the door open.

I also removed the passenger door card and can release this with a finger push no problem, so the issue has to be the lock being loose, which is an easy fix if I can get the bloody door open!

Any recommendations greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Steve
