doing some headlamp rewiring and it seems as if all my headlamp connector spade terminals are worn and or corroded. Having a mare of day trying to suss out exactly what size the blade/spade terminals are to replace them........measuring them they seem to be 8mm ish....which I am finding hard to get locally.........most of the kits or boxes of these things come in a generic sizes ie 2.8 4.8 6.3 etc etc..but the three on the main headlamp plastic connector seem and in fact are bigger......am i just having a bad day......

You could just clean up corrosion with a soak in vinegar and hitting with a wire bristle brush. For poor fitting connectors, a little squeezing and or bending with needle nose pliers can improve fit.
