I presume that it is not possible, but is there any way I could use the electronic ignition from my 25D in a 59D? Im upgrading an 850 to a 998 A+.

No one? I guess it must be a stupid question. It sort of looks doable, but I don't want to try it then it be a cause of problems when it comes to set up.

I don't think you can easily do that type of swap. If you were prepared to drill & tap the backing plate, you might be able to adapt it.
