1380 Track/hot Road Engine Build

For the engine build fans ---
I'm building a 1380 track/hot road engine for my friend Gavin,
All A+ engine
73.5mm omegas/7cc dish fitted to balanced rods,
Rings gapped to 15/16 thou,
Pistons set flush to deck for minimum squish/best det elimination,
Fully balanced 10/10 crank assembly along with MED front pulley and
MED st2 light flywheel/pre verto clutch set up,
Gavin modded clutch wok,
Piper 280 custom grind with modded LCAs to suit the A series ports/valve train,
MED 1.5 roller rockers,
MED Vernia set up,
All relevant fixings ARP,
Rebuilt late A+ gearbox with 3.44 X-pin diff,central oil pick up,
MED straight cut drops/ floating bearing type,
JMR race spec head with 11/1 comp,
MED 40 thou MLS headgasket,
Maniflow large lcb/maniflow system,
Maniflow polished stainless 6.5 inch inlet with Weber 45,long trumpets,
Alden dizzy,
Large pipercross air filter,

No steel strapped centre main?
Always worth doing for what it costs

Not needed unless a stroker or revving over 8k,
Has been proved on many engines :-)

Very smart, i am doing a 1380 build myself, its good to see what others do. I went for the 276 kent cam.

What head are you using?

Should be dude,it's going in a mini that's under 650kg :-)

Hi dude,yes it's a race spec big valve one,modded and flow benched by JMR in Plymouth :-)

We're awiating the race cylinder head,will be fitted with a 40thou MLS gasket,
Then off to JMR to time in the cam

All in and run in mileage done and oil&filter change,
Can’t upload anymore pics as the site keeps saying they’re too large ;-)
