After changing a fuel rail and connecting everything back up I realised that i had a slight fuel leak from where the fuel line in joins the fuel rail itself, this is reliant on a tiny O ring preventing leaks, these are a bu33er to get in without damaging them , and to make it worse a bit of a sod to purchase. I have now got hold of some of them but just want to know the best way of securing this fitting , ( the angled one at the end of the fuel in line ), to the fuel rail? It is obviously a question of fitting the O ring to the fitting and then the angled fitting just push fits into the rail itself, obviously a tight fit ........and then the fitting is then held secure by two screws,( polymates ),  the problem is that it  is a really tight fit and I am not too sure if I should use some sort of lubricant and if so what type...... after all I don't want to contaminate the fuel.........

As always cheers for advice,,,,

Rubber/brake grease should be suitable.

Well here is where I say talk to the O ring makers as it does depend on what it is made from.

they could be fine with either but….. I have brake rubber grease to hand so that is what I would use rather than going in dry……
