Hi, just trying to locate the fuse for the rear fog light switch on a '95 SPI. I don't have any power coming to the switch (headlights and ignition on). I'm testing black and blue/green wires which a very short and awkward to get to but I think the test is ok. No Haynes to hand to check wire colours or fuse location / number. I have also tried a replacement switch and no joy.
Any suggestions much appreciated, thank you!

Hi mate,
If you use the link below and scroll down you will find instruments for spi 92-96 and fog lamp circuits.

The fuse for rear should be one of the line fuses in the engine bay blue to blue orange with 10a

Many thanks, I hadn't noticed these diagrams on the forum before. The Rover fog light diagram indicates a blue yellow and blue orange wire to the switch, but I have a blue yellow and black. I need to do some more digging on that, but I'll find the fuse anyway and test that. Thanks again.

No problem!
I noticed the discrepancy with the wire colours at least you have a place to start with the fuse hopefully that sorts you out

I have continual problems with that inline fuse and just pulling apart and reseating cures it until the next time. I think those inline fuses are subject to a lot of vibration especially if you've removed the factory fitted sponge sound insulation.

I've attach a pdf with info on the fuses and that applies 92 - 96 minis.

The offending fuse has a blue/orange wire.

I think that switch will have a tell tale lamp in it to show it is on, so the black will be the earth for that.

The blue/orange is the power into the switch from the fuse, the blue/yellow is the feed out of the switch to the foglamp.  It sounds like you are missing the power feed - maybe the wire has got pulled out of the connector?

I noticed the same when doing continuity tests on my loom

in the end i cut it out, soldered straight through, and wired it back to a spare way on a new larger fusebox (blade type).  I suppose you could also just replace the inline fuse holder for a more modern fresh one with tighter connections

I am considering adapting a Wired by Wilson fusebox and replacing all the inline fuses at this location with that.

If you can solder or able to crimp you can get the spade blocks on ebay for a very small cost. Attached is a block I used to replace the inlines with spades. Be aware that if you go this route you need to half the values of the fuses as they function differently to the glass ones.

A '95 Spi should have 24 way fuse box and no inline fuses. Fuse no. 24.  Its common for the fuse to blow if water was gotten into the fog light.

You will find the relevant diagrams in the first post below the lists.

Just a belated thank you for your responses. I got the fog light switch sorted, but failed the mot because I hadn't spotted the nearside side indicator bulb had popped, which is a bit harsh. Anyway, thanks again.
