I'm just in the middle of re-assembling the rear subframe of my car, and I've forgotten how the rear brake lines were assembled. I've loosely assembled them as to how I think they should be assembled but juts wanted to check that this is correct before I tighten everything up.

The brake setup for my car is as per the diagram below.

Bracket on the rear radius arm. flexible hose through the bracket, shake proof washer and nut placed on the other side of the bracket. The rigid brake line to the plate would then attach to the flexi hose and plate.

Rear subframe. Flexi hose straight through with a nut on the other side of the bracket, then the rigid line.

Have I got this right?

I think that it should technically be a half nut here, I remember someone on here before having issues with their brake fitting leaking and it was found that they had used a full nut and the union was hitting the full nut before sealing.

This may not be an issue on some hoses, the thread lengths may vary, but it's worth checking when you're building up.

I've not done them up on the radius arms yet but there's still thread available on the ones through the subframe when they're tightened.

So, I don't think this is an issue on the Flexi hoses I have.
