Hi Mini forum users
I have a question concerning the rear brake drums. I bought new drums from Minispares, cleaned all the parts on the rear brakes and fitted the drums with new pads and springs. Problem was, it wasn´t possible to bring the drums all the way down to the hub. I removed the pads and there is no difference. I found out that the drums sat too tight to the outer flange of the hubs (see red arrows). May be cheap drums?? But there are no alternatives available as far as I know.
My question is, where are the drums centered? Are they centered by the two little phillips screws? Or by the studs? Or at the outer flange of the hub???
Thank you very much
Thomas
