Found why my waterpump was shot, why the fan was rubbing on the Rad, and why my fanbelt was dead :-

The metal bracket that mounts the engine to the rubber engine mount has broken in half :'( :'( :'(

From what I can tell, no-one makes these anymore :withstupid:
Does anyone know where I can find one? Its the passenger side.....
If you do, then theirs a big :withstupid:* from Alice for you...............

Well for a kiss I'll tell you to ring DSN Classics (01953 455551). If possible ask for a genuine part.

Cheers for that! I will give them a ring in a minute! I think the subby is bent, so a genuine part is not necessary. BUT, I doubt there will be a non-gen part.....

Oh, and by the way Alice is the car. I am a bloke............. :withstupid:

Bugger, well take the number and be off with ya! :withstupid:

In what way do you mean the subby is bent? That could throw the suspension geometry out of wack?!

Subby bent as in the car has had a hit hard enough to need the front end replacing and big enough to snap an engine mount bracket! I would be surprised if the subby was straight! Tyres are wearing evenly across the tread, and she doesnt pull to either side more than normal, but I aint gonna push her too hard.

by the way, this was all done before I bought her. It would be MUCH easier to replace this f****** bracket with no bodywork on!
