15k would be for me to build you a ITB's vtec mini. so not zcars price range. (also zcars use the newer honda engine which costs more)

ITB's on any engine i would budget 2k - 2.5k as its all the little bits that you forget , dizzy packs , cranks sensors , air filters , throttle brackets etc

The frame is made by a company called SAE. (search on the 16vminiclub for the name)

He'll get more power per £ if he sticks a turbo on it.

also from what i read, only breifly mind, low blow vtecs actually produce more power with vtec disabled.

all vtec is, is a high lift cam, cant see how disabling it to a lower lift cam would make it perform better? The 1st lobe runs out of steam at 5k so when revving to 9k it surely isnt going to perform better :S

i think what he's referring to is when they do the racing engine conversions and use "normal cams"!! lots lighter without all that vtec equipment clogging up the cylinder head and far less complications when setting them up!!!!!

just they wont have the smooth pull from low down the revs or the neat idle!!
