My Son (Nathan) and I (I'm Nigel) have just bought a 1984 Mini Mayfair that someone started to strip and work on but lost interest.

We are doing this to get Nathan some engineering / mechanical know how before he considers joining the Navy as an engineer.

 

I am sure we will be asking many questions both technical and otherwise, we went to our first show last week up at Stafford which we really enjoyed.

 

We are hoping to make the Mini as close to original as possible and then see where we go from there.

 

We are very glad to be here and look forward to some good advice.

Sounds like a good plan, I consider my exploits in minis partially responsible for my path into engineering and its definitely a popular route. Look forward to seeing updates, pop up a project thread so we can follow along!
