Need help please.  I have acquired a finned rocker cover for my mini. It has a small breather hole that is blanked off with a plate and screws.  I would like to use this breather but cannot find anyone who sells the piece to fix onto the cover and allow me to fit a pipe and small breather.  All help and thoughts appreciated.  Thank you

Add a photo of the rocker if you can. You'll need to measure the pitch of the screw holes and hole size. If you can't find one I can machine one to suit.

Does it look like this? Inside the rocker cover I can see JVM in the casting.

They were originally part of the Minifin range along with finned aluminium brake drums. https://mk1-performa...257d872e_06.png

Unfortunately although reproduction are still available new only the originals had the breather so if you’d like the use the hole you’ll most likely have you make your own fitting to bolt onto it.

Perhaps Merlin Motorsport might be able to help or as suggested you could get and engineering firm to make one up.

Another option is to tap the existing middle hole for a 90 degree barb fitting. The downside is that if you don’t have a baffle inside the cover it may spew out a lot of oil mist

I see where you are. I'm going to a Campsite just up from Grantham next week. I could take my rocker cover along for you to see if that would help.

Message me if you want.

Are your hacksaw skills better than my Google skills?

You could may be do better with more creative searching using images.
