widest wheels and tyres

what is the widest wheels and tyres you can get for a mini fitment and where can you get them from,
im not bithered about diameter.

i've heard of an 8x13" mini wheel running a 195 tyre!! also the same of a 14" wheel tho that takes some work for wheel clearance!! most are happy with 7x13 if u want a huge wheel!!!! either way they destroy the handling!!

5.5x13 or 6x13 are ample!! excelent handling and lots cheaper!!

a mate of mine ran 8x13's front and 10x13's on the back of a fortec kitted estate

10x13" rims!! holy cow thats nearly a square rim!! i'll admit it would have looked wild but i'll bet it handled like a pig!!

o yes forgot to mention they are to fit a metro mk1, i understand handling wont be too clever just want a slammed car on wide steel wheels :proud:

there was a company advertising some split rim revos, i think it was huddersfield spares, in widths from 7x13 to either 10 or 11x13. :proud:

seen a moke running 13x13s but obvioulsy no problems there with rubbing etc

MK1 metro!! good man!! nice to see another person here not afraid to speak out about owning one :)if your serious about handling just get some late gta wheels and some good tyres and you'll embares even some mini owners!! yes it is possible in a metro!!

if u just want looks i wish you good luck fitting them under metro arches!!

wudnt mind trying a vvc, had a gti myself before i had my a-series gta!! stil got the poor girl in my garage!! she'd be good for a space frame project but not much else!! floors all rusty!!

have u asked this on metro power forum!! they'd be better people to ask about what the biggest you can fit is!!

stick with the gta wheels!! they look mad on std mk1 arches!! look bigger than u think and lots cheaper to get tyres for!!

BIG BONUS!! THEY ACTUALLY FIT TOO!!

EDIT the 185/55 13 pirellis work lots better on an a-series hub than they do on a k-series hub!!

Found the ad. Was in junes mini mag, huddersfield spares. It says 'revolution race split rim. Size: 13''x6/7/8/9/10/11'. They look mint, with fat hoosier tyres on. It says price on asking but they aint gonna be cheap as the 8x13'' package with 195 45 13 dunlops is £899!!!!! :proud:

thanks for that mate, slightly high price tag for me :proud: but at least you can get some tyres at that size i might get some steel wheels fabricated
