Hi all,

I'm replacing my pot joints (inner CV) and just looking at the Minispares website it says that there is an inner oil seal that was fitted to cars upto 1994.

http://www.minispare...ck to catalogue

As it was discontinued by Rover in 1994 is it still needed?

(I have a 1987 Mini Advantage)

when you remove shaft from pot joint if the seal is there it normally is split, don't need it just smear anti sieze paste on splines, this will help stop the rusting there. dont forget good idea to change output shaft oil seals same time as pot joints. can pull them out with small driver and tap back in with deep socket
