I've never had one leak, from there, and I've adjusted/changed sensors, re-using existing gaskets, on mine.
Check it's in tight and order some fresh gaskets.
Make sure that's where it's leaking from.

Definitely is. Paint is coming off the tank right under the sender

I've had this happen before, when I've overtightened the screws and partly stripped the threads. As a temporary fix I used some Waterweld (or similar, can't remember exactly) and it lasted for a good few years. In the end, when it started leaking again I had to replace the tank.

Is there a torque setting. They are only very small screws.
Definitely is. Paint is coming off the tank right under the sender
It's a bizarre design where the screws for the sender go straight through into the tank, rather than being a blind hole.
I refurbed mine a few years ago.
Make sure the tank flange is clean and the sealing face of the sender.
I applied Blue Hylomar (Fuel resistant sealing compound) to both sides of the gasket and a very small amount on the screws, when i reassembled.
As far as torque goes, i don't know of any official figure but don't go mad.

TL;DR
Put Blue Hylomar on both sides of the cork gasket and a little bit on the screws.

Using a sealant is pointless, nearly all aren’t fuel resistant.

I had a sender fail from the internal sensor take off, not from the sender body itself (same van tank)
Using a sealant is pointless, nearly all aren’t fuel resistant.
That's a good point about the sender actually leaking fuel through the white plastic part where the sender output tag is.
Agreed, Blue Hylomar is one of the few that is fuel resistant.

Just had a look as best I can. Looks like its coming through the screw heads so I've tightened them all up a quarter turn dried it and having some beans on toast. Will check in a bit
Might be worth trying fibre washers on the screws, if the tightening doesn't cure it.
