Are there more differences between the 43D4 and 45D4 distributors than just the addition of a vacuum advance?

 

Is a blanking plate available for the 45D4 vacuum advance hole?

Blanking plates are easily made. Base plate will need locking though. You will need to check the springs and the advance on the bob weights.

Thanks Nick, I was hoping to learn more about the construction rather than doing anything clever.  I didn't really want to pull my distributor out of the engine before i knew more about them in general.

 

I'm probably overthinking it though. Are there heavier or lighter bob weights and springs available?

 

i guess that is more for race?
