me dads mate was round yesterday, and he said he had a mini 30 lying round his mothers house, so me n my bro went to have a look, and it was a mini 30, 70k miles, new recon 1275 engine, had been stood 12 months, so is a bit rusty at bottom of doors, and on 1 of the wings, apart from that it isn't in bad condition, could probably get it back on the road within a few weeks.

should be arriving today so will get some pics as soon as it arrives..

£400, what do you reckon? no tax or MOT, but has got alloys, half leather interior, bit mouldy on the seats and that. needs new carpet, bit of welding, engine needs to be turned over.

That dosnt sound too bad, I might be tempter to knock the price down a bit but it does have a 1275 engine.

He wanted £600, but managed to knock him down to £400, and thats with him delivering it aswel. Yours is a 30 isn't it?? what engine is in it?

It hasn't arrived yet, it should do either today, or this week he says, as soon as it does tho i will post pics in the condition it is in. It has like greeny C**p over the windows and that, and a bit of a boy racer owned it before, tinted out the rear windows. Does yours have the speaker holes cut in the rear shelf?? i am sure this one didn't.

It should be 998 A plus, and it won't have had any speaker holes as standard in the rear parcel shelf panel. The 30 was pretty much a standard Mayfair 998 with new trim, paint, decals and some alloys. Like all the '80s / early '90s specials.

Well done, good price for it. Would be worth more with it's original lump though 'because they are quite rare, depending on what colour it is.

Still hasn't arrived yet should hopefully get it for the weekend, so i can try and get it going!! he can do all the welding, i am poo at it, but he is letting me do a few mechanical bits to it, like the engine

it is like a maroony colour, with gold stripes and badges, black n maroon half leather seats, mini lights, and red carpet. still haven't got it!! might ring him up and get him to get it over to us ASAP, gettin anxious to start working on it !
