Has anyone bought rubber type seat diaphragms from someone other than Newton Comercial and successfully fitted them without them splitting after a few weeks use?

I bought a pair from W&P on eBay, fitted them at the end of March and today the drivers side one tore and the clips let go. Is this par for the course on repro rubber? Even if I get a FOC replacement I’m not sure I want the battle of fitting it if it’s going to be the same ******* quality.

Newton then?

Mine are a mk3 seat, so pre floor catch.

I’ve ordered a Newton version now. Will see how that goes.

Why is it that anything made of rubber is total crack these days? Must be an ‘eco friendly’ manufacturing thing I reckon. Even new cars struggle with poor rubber gaiters etc.
